Acrobat Reader is a free software program that reads .pdf files. It can be downloaded from the Internet. Go to http://www.adobe.com. At the bottom of the page is a button that says "Get Acrobat Reader". Click on the button to download the program. When it ask where you want to save it, browse to your desktop and save it there. Once the program has been dowloaded you need to double click on the icon to install the software. Just click the Next button to accept all the default answers to the questions. Now you will be able to double click on your file and it will open. The next time you want to open a .pdf file you will have Acrobat Reader and it will open automatically.
When trying to print a .pdf file with Acrobat Reader open, you must use the Print button or File, Print option in the Acrobat Reader window, NOT the one at the top of your screen. It will not work if you try to print from anywhere but within the Acrobat Reader window. |
